Act of kindness: Ajman Police Station offers shelter to a stranded tourist

Ajman: In a touching gesture of kindness, officers at Masfout Comprehensive Police Station—under the Ajman Police General Command—welcomed an African tourist after her car broke down while she was passing through Masfout on her way to Oman.

Major Abdulrahman Hayei Al Kaabi, Head of Masfout Police Station, said their operations room received a call about a broken-down vehicle on Al Watan Street in Masfout. A patrol team was immediately dispatched to the scene, where they found the tourist—Virginie Carrelty Kyoungmo—stranded during her road trip.

After assessing the situation, her vehicle was taken to the nearest garage, where technicians estimated that repairs would take an entire day. As night fell and no hotel rooms were available nearby, the Masfout Police Station stepped in and offered her a place to stay in their guest lounge. She was also provided with meals and all the basic comforts until her car was repaired and returned the next day.

The tourist expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome and care she received from the officers. She said the gesture reflected the true spirit of hospitality in the UAE and showed the compassion of its police officers, who treat everyone with kindness—no matter their background.

Major Al Kaabi emphasized that Ajman Police are committed to supporting the community, promoting values of humanity and tolerance, and helping anyone in need. He said such efforts help strengthen Ajman’s reputation as a safe and welcoming place for both residents and visitors.
