Dubai Police have arrested four men for allegedly being involved in a number of robberies and assault.

The police received a spate of complaints about robberies. F.D., an Asian, complained to Al Muraqqabat Police Station that he was stopped by three people while he was in Hor Al Anz. They asked him to get into their car.
They drove him to a sandy place nearby where they assaulted him and stole his wallet.
On another occasion, the same person, accompanied by another, M.F., was assaulted and robbed by four men, three of whom were the same people who had robbed him earlier.
The gang were in a Mazda car. They allegedly told their two victims that they were policemen.
Investigations led to the identification of two, who turned out to be Nasser Shenan Sakhrawi, an Iran-ian, and Ahmed Gholam Askhar, an Omani. The two, acco-mpanied by Nasser Ali Moham-med and Ibrahim Guloom, an Omani, were arrested in a sting operation.
The four were identified in a police line up. Under questioning, the first three allegedly admitted their involvement in the first robbery. They are held in police custody on a charge of robbery and impersonation.
