Filipino group to impart medical services for clean-up campaign

Last updated:

Everyone has the right to enjoy a clean environment without fear of falling ill. On Friday, the Filipino Health Care Providers, a voluntary organisation, is once again using its medical services by joining the Dubai Municipality for the "Clean up the World 2000" event.

Dr Rosario Tigno, president of the organisation, said the medical team will offer first-aid services to the volunteers and all those who will clear up the area and pick up litter between 7.00am and 9.00am.
This is the second consecutive year that they are participating in the clean-up drive.
Dr Tigno said she wants more people to join her medical team for providing first-aid to all those who will make this clean dream a reality.

The Philippines Embassy awarded her a certificate in appreciation for the excellent medical services provided to the Filipino community. A free medical check-up will be organised in Fujairah on November 24 under the outreach medical mission programme from 9.00am to 1.00 pm.
