Fire guts store in Sharjah heritage area

A fire broke out at a store in Sharjah's heritage area yesterday, the police said. Large numbers of magazines and books belonging to the heritage department were destroyed.

The fire which erupted at noon took the Civil Defence nearly one hour to put out, the police said.
