Fire erupts at workers' quarters in Ajman

Ajman: Several workers were evacuated after a fire broke out in their accommodation in Ajman on Sunday evening.

The fire erupted in Mushairef commercial district in Ajman, according to Lt. Col. Elan Issa Al Shamisi, director of Ajman Civil Defence Operation Room.

Firefighters from Ajman Civil Defence rushed to the scene, evacuated the workers and took away the gas cylinders.

No casualties were reported.

Two rooms were gutted and the fire was contained in 10 mintues.

The site was handed over to Ajman Police to complete the investigation procedures and determine the cause of the fire.
