Fire destroys warehouses in Sharjah

Sharjah: A huge fire destroyed a number of  warehouses in Sharjah’s industrial area on Sunday afternoon, an official at Sharjah Civil Defence said. 

The oficial said that the fire broke out at 4pm in Industrial Area 18. 

Firefighters from Sharjah headquarters, Muwailh, Samnan and Al Mina worked to control the blaze.

The official said: "We immediately took the necessary precautions in the neighbourhood in order to prevent further spread to the adjacent warehouses ." .

The cause of fire is still under investigation. There were no reports of casualties.
