Fire at Sharjah's Sahara Center contained

Sharjah: A fire that broke out in the food court of Sahara Center in Sharjah late on Friday was contained.

Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director of Sharjah Civil Defence, said the fire started in the chimney of one of the resturants.

The fire, which began around 10.30pm, was quickly brought under control.

The mall was evacuated as a precautionary measure. No one was injured in the incident, he said.
