A Bangladeshi man was killed after he was buried under a huge pile of wood which fell on him from the shelves of a store of a construction material shop he worked for in Al Jolan.

The 25-year-old victim, Mujeeb Al Rahman, accompanied by a compatriot colleague, was instructed to unload a huge quantity of wood onto the shop's shelves, which were already full.
Sources in Ras Al Khaimah said the two workers unloaded the majority of the wood and while the victim was standing beneath the overloaded shelves, huge quantities of the wood fell on him. He was taken to Saqr Hospital where he died of his injuries a few hours later.
RAK Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
