New honey factory in UAE to produce 120 tonnes per year in phase one

Sharjah Ruler Sheikh Sultan approves establishing the facility in central region

Sharjah: His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the establishment of an organic honey products factory and laboratory in the central region.

The facility will produce honey and pharmaceutical and cosmetic materials derived from honey, with the project expected to be completed in October 2025.

In its first phase, the factory aims to produce 120 tonnes of honey annually.

The announcement of the Ruler of Sharjah’s approval was made by Dr Eng. Khalifa Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, during the Direct Line programme broadcast on Sharjah Radio and Television.
