A Federal Environment Agency committee has issued its recommended amendments to the third and final stage of its far-reaching national strategy and action plan which will shape the UAE's environment for years to come.
A Federal Environment Agency committee has issued its recommended amendments to the third and final stage of its far-reaching national strategy and action plan which will shape the UAE's environment for years to come.
A meeting on Sunday included ten representatives of sectors linked with the execution of the project. FEA Director-General Salem Musri Al Dhaheri said that the meeting discussed a final report on the third and final phase of the project, which was compiled in September.
The 50-member committee represents the agencies concerned with development and environment, a representative from non-governmental organisations and two supervisors from UN organisations.
The meeting also discussed reports and priority projects for each of the ten sectors and means to achieve environmental work priorities within the UAE.
The plan is to be executed by the FEA and ten sectors linked to the environment and development authorities such as municipalities, water and electricity authorities, marine life authorities, planning and urban authorities, agriculture, industry, health, energy, education and environmental awareness, oil and gas.
