Recently, when driving, I came across an [unsafe practice]. I was shocked to see a car speeding on the highway with its right-hand side mirror almost falling apart.

We all know that it becomes almost impossible to change lanes without side view mirrors.

Driving on the highway at high speed did not only put the lives of the motorists at stake, but also increased the possibility of an accident.

One question came to mind — what if the mirror fell off onto the road or struck our car?

My main concern is the lack of responsibility and negligence of some people, due to which many innocent lives are put at risk.

I urge the concerned authorities to monitor such cars, which cause harm to other motorists, as well as to the driver himself.

The only solution to curb such carelessness is to impose heavy fines on such drivers.

Moreover, I request concerned vehicle owners to get their cars repaired at the earliest, as this will prevent major mishaps on the roads of Dubai.

After all, a stitch in time saves nine!
