Emirati dies, eight hurt in Sharjah road accident

Sharjah: A 21-year-old Emirati man died and eight people were injured in a car crash on Seiji-Kadra road, a Sharjah Police official told Gulf News on Sunday.

Police said that the crash on Friday involved two vehicles and that initial investigation pointed to speeding as the cause of the collision.

Police identified the 21-year-old victim as A.B.R.A. and said that eight of those injured are Gulf nationals.

The body of A.B.R.A. was sent to Al Dhaid hospital and was later handed over to his family in Ajman for burial on Saturday.

The eight people injured in the crash have been discharged from hospital.
