Ibrahim Al Daboos, Emirates Post Director General, stressed the importance of signing agreements and entering into strategic business alliances with local as well as international postal operators.
Al Daboos highlighted the achievements the Corporation accomplished during this year. "The Corporation is in the process of clinching more synergies with leading international companies in ways that prosper the country's welfare," he said.
Emirates Post, as a federal corporation, has been keen to proceed in parallel with the vast movements the UAE is witnessing.
The developed infrastructure, strong economy, and heavy aviation traffic all played an important role in creating a healthy environment for businesses nationwide, explained Al Daboos.
He said that the Corporation's strong presence in the region contributed to the sophisticated postal facilities and the innovative services Emirates Post is providing.
"Al Ramool Automated Sorting Centre, Emirates Post International Transit Hub, and the Electronic Document Centre established a robust emergence for Emirates Post, and has drawn the attention of International
Postal Corporations, like GATS UK and Germany's Deutsche Post, to the potentiality of availing of Emirates Post's facilities," said Al Daboos.
He spoke about 'International Express', the cross-branded product recently launched as a result of Emirates Post and DHL UAE strategic business alliance, where consignors can utilise the DHL worldwide network that links 120,000 destinations in over 228 countries.
He also referred to the instant money transfer service in association with Western Union, which occurs via a direct link between Emirates Post's nationwide systems and Western Union's worldwide network, which covers 186 countries and territories across the globe in over 110,000 locations.
He also mentioned the new customer-oriented scheme manifested by the promotional campaigns the Corporation is conducting, such as India Parcel Express campaign.
"A tempting offer is made for Indians when they use our Indian Parcel Express service. Customers have the chance to win four kilos of gold from May 15 to September 15," said Al Daboos.
