The UAE can now boast of the 'Emirates International Endurance Village' in Al Wathba - the newest addition to the country's infrastructure in a sport that is regarded as the most modern of its kind in the world.

"The Village will open officially on December 19 by hosting the National Day Cup," stated the manager of the village Mubarak bin Atti.

With its construction, the UAE now boasts of permanent endurance villages in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi and Seih Assalem in Dubai.

"The style of architecture is part of our rich heritage. The village is built like an old fort with seven towers. But the instruments, equipment and facilities are the latest in their field, whether it be the veterinary clinic, the media centre or other services. It combines the heritage of the past with technology of tomorrow," said Mubarak bin Atti.

The 'Emirates International Endurance Village' is a gift from Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Director General of the President's Office and Board Chairman of the International Petroleum Investment Company, to the sport of endurance not only in the UAE, but also to all the competitors from the Arab countries and the world.
