Video: E-scooter riders risk lives on Abu Dhabi’s busy roads; police issue warning

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police have released a video highlighting the reckless and dangerous use of e-scooters on busy roads, as part of their ongoing ‘#YourComment’ awareness initiative.

The footage shows three young men riding e-scooters across bustling intersections, weaving through fast-moving traffic and narrowly avoiding a serious collision with a four-wheel vehicle.

Authorities used the video to urge e-scooter users to adhere strictly to safety regulations and to limit their use to designated paths and authorized zones.

The police emphasised that such behaviour not only endangers the riders’ lives themselves but also puts other road users at risk.

The campaign invites the public to share their views, encouraging community engagement in promoting road safety and responsible e-scooter usage across the capital.
