The 40-year-old was airlifted from Salalah to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi: The National Search and Rescue Centre of the National Guard, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, successfully carried out an air ambulance operation to evacuate a UAE citizen in his 40s who had suffered a sudden and severe medical emergency while in the Sultanate of Oman.
With the cooperation and support of the Omani authorities, the patient was transported from Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah — where he received initial treatment — to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi for continued specialised care.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its appreciation to the Omani authorities for their valued cooperation and their key role in assisting the UAE Embassy in Muscat, which played a significant part in the successful completion of the medical evacuation.
