Saif bin Zayed honours ‘Interior Falcons’ personnel for saving 9 lives after boat capsized at sea

Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, honoured personnel from the Air Wing Department at the General Directorate of Security Support within the Ministry of Interior for their outstanding efforts and in recognition of their bravery and dedication to fulfilling their national and humanitarian duty.

Sheikh Saif presented the employees — including pilots, navigators, and air traffic controllers — with Medals of Job Excellence for their role in a successful aerial search and rescue mission that saved the lives of nine Asians whose boat had capsized near Al Hamriyah Port in Sharjah. The mission was carried out with swift coordination and rapid response from the Air Wing’s medical and flight teams upon receiving the emergency call from the concerned authorities.

Demonstrating high levels of professionalism and competence, the teams executed the rescue operation over the course of two hours with precision and care, ultimately saving all nine individuals without any reported injuries.
