Major fire contained in Sharjah industrial area warehouses

Sharjah: A fire broke out in a warehouse in Sharjah’s Industrial Area 17 on Wednesday night. No injuries were reported, according to Sharjah Civil Defence.

Authorities received an alert at 10:15 pm regarding the blaze. Firefighting teams responded swiftly, working to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby facilities.

The affected warehouses were used to store shoes, bags, plastic materials, and machinery. Workers from the impacted and surrounding areas were safely evacuated as a precautionary measure.

By 7am on Thursday, the fire had been brought under control, and cooling operations were initiated. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
