Ajman: Ajman Police has taken a major step toward smarter services with the launch of a new artificial intelligence platform called AJP AI. Introduced by Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, the platform is designed to handle non-emergency inquiries from the public — all via WhatsApp at 800901.

This new service replaces the traditional 901 call center with a faster, smarter, and more convenient communication channel. It’s part of Ajman Police’s ongoing efforts to enhance digital services and simplify access for the community.

“This platform supports the UAE’s goals of improving government services and meeting public needs,” said Major General Al Nuaimi. “We worked closely with leading tech partners to develop a system that is fast, intuitive, and fully integrated with Ajman Police’s smart services.”

Powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning, the system can understand both written and voice messages. It responds in multiple languages — including various Arabic dialects — delivering clear and accurate answers. Whether you’re typing a message or sending a voice note, the AI responds instantly via WhatsApp, 24/7.

Colonel Hisham Abdullah Abu Shehab, Director of Operations at Ajman Police, described the platform as a game-changer.

“People can now get instant answers to a wide range of queries — from traffic services like opening a traffic file or renewing vehicle registration, to criminal services such as filing a police report or applying for a clearance certificate,” he said. “It also supports community services and general inquiries — without the need to speak to a human agent.”

This launch marks just the beginning. According to Colonel Abu Shehab, this is the first phase of integrating AI across police services. Ajman Police plans to expand the platform’s capabilities as part of its vision for a fully smart police force.

He encouraged the public to try the new service by messaging 800901 on WhatsApp.

“It’s a smarter, faster way to get your questions answered — anytime, anywhere,” he added.
