The Zayed University has launched its new construction project in Dubai Knowledge Village to house all its specialised centres now located in Dubai Internet and Media Cities.

The launch came in the context of the cooperation between the ZU and Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority (DTMFZA).

Dr Hanif Hassan, ZU's Director, announced this during a ceremony organised at the University's Smart Square Centre.

Ahmad Bin Bayat, Director General DTMFZA, Dr Abdullah Karam, KV's Chief Executive, and a number of experts and deans and engineering contractors attended the ceremonial announcement.

Dr Hassan said, "The cooperation includes developing educational and training programmes that aim at the dissemination of knowledge and the development of expertise in the field of IT in society.

"It also aims at professional development and continuing training programmes for personnel in the technology and electronic commerce fields, supporting scientific research which aims at developing electronic commerce on one hand and intensive dependence on technology in education and training on the other."
