Thousands of students visit GETEX
Dubai: Over 29,000 visitors attended the four-day Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX), a leading education forum, which ended on Saturday, according to Anselm Godinho, managing director of Getex organiser International Conferences and Exhibitions (IC&E).
The forum, which was held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, hosted over 500 higher education providers, the majority from the UK and England.
GETEX Dubai on Saturday signed a memorandum of understanding with the Education Promotion Society for India to bring high quality Indian education providers to the region.
The exhibition consisted of three main categories: GETEX careers and training, GETEX student recruitment and GETEX education equipment and technology.
Thousands of national and expatriate students visited the training and recruitment segments.
"It's great that there are so many professional institutions under one roof," said Dubai University management student Moza Abdullah. "I'm looking for a job in management and hopefully I will find what I'm looking for here."
