Teaching Arabic through e-programmes

Sharjah: The series of educational programmes launched by Horouf Educational Publishing in UAE schools have been highlighted as one of the country’s steps towards teaching the Arabic language through e-learning.

The Horouf programme was discussed in a meeting between Shaikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Founder and CEO of Kalimat Publishing Group, and Dr Mohammad Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education and the Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council in Qatar.

Shaikha Bodour pointed out the success of the programme, which is being implemented in 29 schools, covering 200 classes. More than 5,100 students at a kindergarten level are currently enrolled in the programme and 222 women teachers are receiving training on the use of the Horouf e-learning application, she added.
