School children to teach adults to read and write
Dubai: The students of Little Flower English School in Dubai have launched an “Adult Literacy programme” to teach illiterate adults from the general public how to read, write and solve arithmetic.
The campaign was inaugurated by the Principal Abdullah Kutty to give students a chance to utilise their education to serve the community.
This educational initiative is free of cost and all adult students were given a literacy kit-containing books, pencils and erasers.
The response to the adult literacy programme was overwhelming and so students and staff of Little Flower English School hope to take it a step further by introducing spoken English classes and Computer Literacy in the near future.
