Al Quttami extended his gratitude to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the salary raise for the Ministry of Education employees.

“Me, and all employees in the ministry, are very grateful for the directives of Shaikh Khalifa and close follow-up of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to improve the conditions of employees in the field of education,” Al Quttami told Gulf News on Sunday.

“The salary increase will be implemented starting from next month after all financial and administrative procedures are completed between the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance,” said Al Quttami.

“This decision will achieve social stability for employees, and will motivate teachers to strive towards more achievements,” he added.

Acting upon directives issued by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, issued an order on Saturday to provide the necessary jobs and financial allocations for implementing the order.

The move highlights the UAE’s commitment to providing Emiratis with financial stability and a dignified life.

The order emphasises the State’s recognition of the critical role played by teachers in a nation’s development, and also seeks to encourage and motivate Emirati teaching staff and administrators as education is the basis of development and progress, and the wellbeing of the teacher is the building block for the development and progress of any modern state.
