Dubai” A new Graduate Management Development Programme called ‘Tomouhi’ was launched by Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa.

The programme has been designed to help develop high-performing Emirati graduates into the company’s future leaders by equipping them with the skills and conducive support system required for success. The programme takes place over nine months and has 15 spaces for local graduates per year.

Tomouhi. which in Arabic means ‘my ambition’, will offer successful candidates the opportunity to gain experience in a range of disciplines and work across a number of Majid Al Futtaim business units to help them establish which skills and sectors best suit their abilities and interests.

According to a press statement issued yesterday, the programme will also offer students the chance to take part in training and development initiatives, including forums and a project assignment. Throughout the programme, participants will be mentored by some of Majid Al Futtaim’s most successful senior Emirati leaders. Once it ends, they will be given the opportunity to work at the company.

Mouien Al Madhoun, Chief Human Capital Officer at Majid Al Futtaim — Holding, said: “Like the government, we are passionate about inspiring Emirati students to consider employment opportunities in the UAE’s private sector. At present in the UAE, UAE nationals account for 15 per cent of Majid Al Futtaim’s total workforce and 65 per cent of its group management. We believe the Tomouhi programme can help increase these figures in years to come and look forward to seeing successful candidates reap the benefits.”

Tomouhi will also be rolled out in Saudi Arabia and Egypt and has been launched in the UAE ahead of Careers UAE 2016. It is now open for applications from Emirati graduates and prospective candidates attending Careers UAE 2016 are encouraged to visit stand ZD-1 in Zabeel Hall 2 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, to hear more about the programme and other employment opportunities at Majid Al Futtaim.

Al Madhoun said: “We’re looking forward to meeting prospective candidates at the upcoming Careers UAE 2016 fair, especially those who are naturally curious, fast learners, hard workers and share our desire to create great moments for everyone, every day.”
