Ministry extends school transport contract
Education ministry continues 30-year working relationship with Emirates Transport
Dubai: The Ministry of Education (MoE) has extended its school transport contract with Emirates Transport (ET), the federal transport and services corporation, to ensure that its 30-year working relationship in providing a safe and comprehensive transport system to public schools in Dubai and the northern emirates will continue.
The contract extension was signed on Sunday by Marwan Ahmad Al Sawaleh, Assistant Undersecretary of Supporting Services at the Ministry of Education, and Mohammad Abdullah Al Jarman, general manager of ET.
ET transports 208,000 students to and from nearly 700 schools on a daily basis — an indication of the size of the task at hand for the federal transport and services corporation.
