Amity University Dubai is a part of the renowned Amity Education Group having an illustrious track record spanning over 20 years. It has 23 campuses spread over 1,000 acres including 4 world-class universities, in India.

Extra-curricular

Student Council

An active student council, the office bearers for which are elected from the entire student body through an election process.

The purpose of establishing the Student Council at Amity University Dubai is to provide the student body with a common platform aimed at encouraging interaction among students and the university body. It also aims at providing students with opportunities to develop life skills and leadership qualities through organising activities and hosting events of interest to the students and to engage them in meaningful activities.

As Amity University prepares to expand and move to its own premise, it aims to enhance its role in engaging students and ensuring they have a richer experience at the University. It also works to foster a spirit of community, understanding, and harmony throughout the campus. 

Student Council aims at the following:

  • Create a collaborative, nurturing, and participative campus environment.
  • Enhance the educational, physical, social and emotional well-being of students.
  • Provide students with a platform to voice their views and facilitate action from the campus administration on any issues, needs and concerns.
  • Provide a link between the student body and University Management.
  • Encourage participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Coordinate university events involving the campus community, such as National Day celebrations, Open Day, Seminars and Conferences, Debates etc.
  • Organise clubs, field trips, workshops and competitions.
  • Provide opportunities for students to develop life skills.
  • Develop leadership skills.
