International literature festival in Dubai to focus on children

Dubai: Children's literacy is set to be a focus of The Emirates International Festival of Literature (Eaifl).

Isobel Abulhoul, Director of Eaifl and Magrudy's, said: "Our 50 authors are comitted to visiting suitable schools to reach thousands of children on education day."

The programme was announced on Wednesday in the presence of best-selling authors Anthony Horowitz, Mekkawi Said, Nahed Al Shawa and Turki Al Dakhil.

The festival will run from 26 to 28 February 2009.
