Big turnout at Gulf News Edufair day 2 as students explore courses and careers
The second day of the Gulf News Edufair got underway with a packed agenda of expert panels, study abroad presentations, and interactive university exhibitions. Building on the momentum of Day 1, the event welcomed hundreds of students from schools across Dubai within the first few hours, all exploring academic pathways and international degree options. The three-day exhibition concludes tomorrow.
The event features over 40 universities from the UAE and abroad, showcasing more than 1,000 courses across disciplines, from engineering and business to design, healthcare, and emerging tech. Students and parents have the chance to interact directly with admissions teams, explore scholarship options, and compare programmes.
A key highlight of the day is an exclusive talk by serial entrepreneur and Triliv founder Jigar Sagar, who will share insights on how students can identify opportunities early and pursue their passions with purpose.
This discussion will help students set clear priorities and build a meaningful career path from the start.
Educators from the UAE’s top universities will take the stage this afternoon for an insightful discussion on how students can future-proof their careers. From AI and sustainability to digital health and evolving employer demands, the session will highlight the fastest-growing industries, essential skills, and academic pathways aligned with tomorrow’s job market.
In another panel discussion titled Make your campus years count, experts will explore how students can make the most of university life during their campus years to build a strong foundation for their careers. The session will highlight why it matters to engage early, through internships, networking, and campus resources, to gain an edge in today’s competitive job market.
An insightful presentation will focus on affordable access to quality education abroad, offering guidance on selecting study destinations. A separate session will highlight the role of student housing networks in providing safe, reliable accommodation for students.
