Get employed through careers UAE
UAE nationals from all fields have an opportunity to make their dreams come true at the Careers UAE exhibition that will be held later this week.
Careers UAE is the largest recruitment, training and Education exhibition that grants all UAE nationals access to reputed companies in a variety of economic sectors. Gulf News will be present at the fair, looking for candidates who can fill one of its numerous job positions.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the eighth edition of the event will help thousands of job seekers meet the nation's top recruiters under one roof at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The exhibition, to be held from April 15-17, will play a key role in contributing to the government's efforts at integrating more UAE nationals into the private sector.
Tapping into talent
"The UAE has initiated significant steps to widen the participation of nationals in the private sector, beginning with banking, finance and HR," said Helal Saeed Al Merri, Director-General of the Dubai World Trade Centre and organiser of Careers UAE.
"This event will provide major local and international companies with an opportunity to tap into the rich talent pool emerging from the country's universities and colleges, giving them the required competitive edge, while driving Emiratisation into other sectors of the economy," Al Merri said.
Competition for entrepreneurs
For the first time, the event will also host the Young Entrepreneurs Competition in coordination with the Mohammad Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders. The contest is open to students who can demonstrate their entrepreneurial abilities.
Visitors will also be able to participate in a diverse range of free specialised developmental courses offered by professional training managers from various academic and professional organisations.
Score a job with Gulf News
Gulf News will be participating in the fair, looking for UAE nationals eager to work for UAE's leading newspaper. Who better to work in the country's news industry than the people of the land themselves? "We encourage all UAE nationals' involvement and participation," said Lavkesh Grover, personnel officer at Gulf News.
Working with a newspaper doesn't necessarily mean working as a journalist. After all, the successful production and marketing of any product involves the collaborative efforts of various departments.
Many job opportunities are available, ranging from marketing and distribution to graphic design and human resources. Whether you majored in business or the arts - there is a place for you. We'll be waiting for you at Hall 2, booth J2-5!
