Forum to encourage culture of e-learning
Dubai: The first e-learning excellence forum in the Middle East will discuss defining, designing and delivering excellence and essential elements of e-learning.
The forum will be held under the patronage of Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the theme "e-learning excellence in the Middle East 2008, Define, Design, Deliver."
The three day forum, which will take place at the Jumairah Beach Hotel from January 14 to 17, will bring together the leading government and industry decision makers from across the Middle East to discuss the use of technology-enhanced learning.
The forum will provide experts from the academic, corporate and government sectors with the opportunity to discuss some of the challenges facing the region and a platform for exploring how new learning technologies should address those concerns.
The purpose of the forum is to drive best practice and sharing of thought leadership in e-learning and to consider what strategies should be followed for inspiring a new generation of e-education. The forum also aims to bring exposure to the region and highlight the developments that are taking place.
Dr Mansour Al Awar, Vice-President of e-TQM College, said the forum aims at encouraging the culture of e-learning because the turnout on e-learning in the Arab World is still intangible.
