Ministry sets strict deadline for Grade 12 exam appeals
The Ministry of Education has announced the opening of the grade review window for Grade 12 students’ third-term results, offering a limited opportunity to request re-evaluation starting today and ending at midnight on Wednesday, July 2. Students are allowed to submit review requests for up to three subjects from the written exam component, which may include Arabic, English, Science, Physics, and Mathematics. The Ministry emphasized that no requests will be accepted after the specified deadline.
A dedicated online portal has been provided for Grade 12 students to submit their appeals: https://idh.ese.gov.ae/complain. Review outcomes will be announced within three working days following the submission deadline.
For students in Grades 3 to 11, appeals can be submitted manually at their respective schools, under the same conditions regarding the number of subjects and the submission period.
The Ministry stressed the importance of adhering to the set timeline, noting that any appeals submitted beyond the deadline will not be considered. This measure aims to ensure the timely processing of reviews ahead of certificate issuance and re-sit exam preparations.
Grade 12 results were released on Monday morning, while results for Grades 9 through 11 were made available at 4 PM the same day. Results for Grades 5 to 8 will be announced at 10 AM on Tuesday, followed by Grades 1 to 4 at 4 PM the same day.
Students and parents can print official academic certificates via the “Student Portal” student.ese.gov.ae from 8 PM until midnight. The Ministry recommends saving a PDF copy of the certificate and printing it on high-quality paper for official use.
The Ministry also confirmed that re-sit exams for the 2024–2025 academic year will begin on Friday, July 4. These exams, organized by the Ministry, cover students in Grades 4 to 12 across all educational streams in public and private schools following the national curriculum, and will continue through Thursday, July 10.
Re-sit exams are designated for students who did not achieve the minimum passing grade in any Group A subject at the end of the academic year. Students will receive the higher score between their end-of-year grade and their re-sit result.
Grade 4 re-sits will be conducted on paper through in-person attendance at schools, while exams for Grades 5 to 12 will be administered electronically, also with in-person attendance. All students are required to bring their personal electronic devices for the duration of the exams.
Grade 12 students in private schools will sit their exams in public schools under joint supervision with branch coordinators.
Re-sit exams for Grade 12 will begin on July 4 with Mathematics, followed by Physics and Social Studies on Monday. Arabic and Chemistry will take place on Tuesday, English and Biology on Wednesday, and the final exam, Islamic Education, on Thursday.
Exams will be held in two daily sessions: the first from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and the second from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
For the Chemistry exam, schools in both General and Advanced tracks will print and distribute the periodic table to students. Elite Track students will use the periodic table available on the Swift Assess platform via the media browser.
