Centennial University brings Canada to Dubai
Why go abroad when Centennial University has brought Canada to Dubai? The Canadian university has now opened a branch in Dubai that is expected to offer the same quality of teaching and student life that it is known for at home.
Located off Shaikh Zayed Road, Centennial University of Dubai (CUD) offers courses that are flexible in duration. Although the Canadian campus offers up to 240 courses, the Dubai campus currently provides 16. However the university will eventually increase the number.
Course duration
“There are special programmes for corporates, whose staff want to enrol in certain courses for a short period of time; night shifts are also available,'' said Tarek Niazi, CEO of CUD.
“The Centennial University in Canada has special agreements with many worldwide companies such as General Motors and Microsoft, from which our university and students can benefit - through internships and job offers,'' he added.

Facilities
CUD has a fully-equipped campus, classes, stadiums, courts and laboratories. Students have access to the internationally acknowledged digital library facilities anytime, anywhere.

Its learning outcomes are based on Canada's Centennial Programme Criteria approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education and Training.
The Centennial University of Canada administers the exams. The faculty is also transferred from the mother campus.
Registration and requirements
“More than 100 students have already registered. Around 100 more students are sponsored students,'' said Niazi.
