Dubai: Indian schools in the UAE have received their CBSE Class 12 results on Sunday morning, with schools reporting strong results.
Around midday, The Indian High School (IHS) Dubai said its student Meghna Savit scored 98.4 per cent in the Science stream – at the time the highest score in the UAE declared by schools.
An estimated 2,000 Indian school students in the UAE appeared for the CBSE annual board exams this year, including those who took the Class 10 exams.
This year, a total of around 1.98 million students in India and other countries sat the standardised CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) exams for Class 12 and 10.
In Dubai, IHS also achieved a 100 per cent pass result for its 522 boys and girls – the highest number of candidates presented by a single school in Dubai, the school said. 99.8 per cent of its students have been placed in the First Division.

The Delhi Private School (DPS) in Dubai said its highest school score is 97.8 per cent, earned by Rutwik Makarand Vishwamitre in Science stream. All its students achieved First Division.
At the Indian School in Al Ain, 45 students appeared for the exam in Science stream, while in Commerce stream, 30 students appeared for the exam. Shadha Umer topped in Science with 94.6 per cent, which was also the highest score for the school.
Sharjah Indian School also produced strong results in the CBSE – AISSCE (All Indian Senior School Certificate Examinations – 12th Standard). Out of the 290 students who appeared for the board examinations, 22 students scored more than 90 per cent. The first rank holder at the school is Ashwin Rajeev Pillai with 95 per cent marks.
At Scholars Indian School in Ras Al Khaimah, students in Commerce stream maintained a 100 per cent pass rate, with SIS student Rahul Varghese topping in Ras Al Khaimah emirate with 96.2 per cent, said Prof M Abu Bakr, principal of the school. He added that out of the 41 students who appeared for the CBSE exam, 63 per cent secured distinction.
CBSE Class 10 results are expected to be out by May 31, media reports in India said on Sunday, although no official date has been declared by the CBSE yet.
