The Emirates Cricket Board Under-17 team, which will participate in the Asia Cup to be held in India, recorded a clean sweep over Spencer's Academy team from Sussex.

ECB Under-17 had won the first one-day match by 56 runs and the second by a slender margin of five runs.

In the third and final match of the series held at Sharjah Stadium, ECB defeated Spencer's Academy by 32 runs.

Once again the hero of the match was Ramveer Rai. He followed his knock of 60 in the first match of this series with another allround display. Ramveer hit a fine 44 off 48 balls with eight hits to the boundary and then went on to bag 5 for 29 with his off spin.

Batting first, ECB lost opener Vikram Nayak for just 9 runs. Ramveer, along with one-down Farhan Siddiqui, set the stage for an excellent score.

Farhan hit 52 (68b, 4x4) before being run out. Tom Askew clean bowled next man Shehan for 2 while Hassan Jafri caught and bowled skipper Sharan for 4.

Abdul Rehman played a responsible knock of 25 despite wickets falling around him at regular intervals.

Right-arm leg break bowler Hassan Jafri, once again produced a deadly spell of 5 for 31. ECB's last six batsmen could muster only 53 runs. In fact, ECB would have been all out for a lower score but for Rehman's defiant knock.

Spencer's got off to an excellent start. Their openers Tom Askew and Patrick Turk put on 79 runs for the first wicket.

Aamer Ali gave the break through by clean bowling Askew for 45 (68b, 4x4). He also had Turk 40 (56b, 4x4) caught by Owais. Much was expected off skipper Neil Baker, but he lasted only 13 balls before being caught by Shehan off Owais for 8.

Eighty eight runs to win and seven wickets in hand, Ramveer began his spell. He clean bowled Abid Jafri for a duck and went on to pick the next five wickets in succession. Only Hassan Jafri put up some resistance with 17. Spencer's last seven wickets fell for just 45 runs to be bowled out for 152.
