Customers will be encouraged to donate at Landmark Group outlets across Dubai
Dubai: First village for orphans to be set up in Dubai with the help of Landmark Group which plans to raise funds to support the project.
The orphanage project “Family Village” is being set up by Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) and seeks to provide beneficiaries with shelter, education, nutrition, and health care within a family atmosphere.
Landmark Group recently joined hands with AMAF to support the “Family Village” project and will launch a UAE wide fund-raising drive during Ramadan across nearly 322 retail and hospitality outlets.
Customers at any of the participating stores of the Group will be encouraged to donate Dh5 or more when making any purchase.
“Landmark Group is happy to support the Family Village project and contribute to building a home for orphan children in Dubai. The nation-wide campaign reinforces our commitment to supporting projects that benefit the local community,” said Vipen Sethi, CEO of the Group.
“We invite all our customers to join hands with us for this noble project and help build a caring home for children that have been abandoned.”
Secretary General of AMAF, Tayeb Al Rais said “We are more than pleased to work alongside local and international organisations such as the Landmark Group for the realisation of this meaningful project that will establish a conducive infrastructure for nurturing the children of the UAE.”
“We look forward to making this vision a reality,” Al Rais added.
Family Village which will be located at Al Warqaa’ 3, will host around 16 villas and feature an integrated recreational area and emergency medical facilities with a resident nurse.
