Dubai: The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has formed a temporary administrative support team to work during the Eid Al Adha holiday to help taxi drivers maintain quality service.

Mohammad Al Hammadi, Acting CEO of Dubai Taxi, said the team will ensure services at a variety of important facilities across the emirate.

“The Corporation formed the Administrative Support Team, which includes representatives from various administrative and service departments in the context of its keenness to follow up the progress of work and tasks in various positions on a daily basis, and to provide the best services according to the highest standards of quality and excellence,” said Al Hammadi.

“It is keen also to intensify its service during various events, holidays and public holidays and to respond to inquiries throughout the period of the holiday, in order to submit a final outputs, results and recommendations report that will be studied for improvement in the future.”

He said that the corporation will continue to provide its services during the holiday through this team, which was formed to ensure the availability of vehicles at Dubai Airports and Dubai Metro stations in addition to various places and centres in the Emirate.

It will also follow-up other tasks related to the operation such as maintenance of taxis and follow-ups on procedures related to road accidents and traffic violations, renewal and acquisition of vehicles and the provision of logistic support.

Customers can also follow up on complaints, lost items and suggestions.

Al Hammadi said the move was part of the Operations and Fleet Management Department’s alternative plans to support Dubai Airports, Dubai Mall and various events in the Emirate.

Other landmarks will also be supported such as Dubai Metro stations, Dubai Airports and hospitals.

He also urged passengers to keep taxi receipts for any possible follow-up on lost articles or in case a report is needed in relation to the trip taken.
