The Dubai Police Officers' Club will be the scene of an international market from October 22 to 24 as part of a charity bazaar to raise money for the handicapped.

The bazaar, under the slogan "A Humanitarian Cause with No Limits", is being organised by the Dubai Women Association and the Diplomatic Ladies Association.

The event is being held under the patronage of Sheikha Alia bint Khalifa bin Saeed Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

According to Fatima Al Sari, Media Coordinator at the Women Association, the proceeds of the bazaar will go to Handicapped Rehabilitation Centre of Hatta. Shoppers at the event will get raffle tickets that may win them valuable prizes.

"We wish to draw attention to an important fact concerning those persons with special needs, who have a right to enjoy life as much as we do. It is our obligation to let them feel that we are willing to do whatever we can to help them enjoy this right", she said.

With a strong participation of more than 20 Arab and friendly countries in this charity event, it is evident that it constitutes a new aspect of joint diplomatic and charity work.

"It further proves that limits and borders are no longer barriers in the face of charity and human concern. This magnificent representation clearly manifests the slogan of the charity bazaar, which promotes a humanitarian cause irrespective of borders and limits", said Amina Ibrahim of the Women Association.
