DTC intensifies training course for drivers

Dubai Transport Corp has intensified training courses for its drivers in order to provide better services to the community.

The organisation, which was set up in 1994 to offer better travel options for residents and visitors to Dubai, has increased the number of drivers for its 2,500 fleet.

It recently trained 140 drivers in a two-week intensified orientation course, following an agreement with Al Futtaim Group.

"The intensification of the training programmes will bring about results on the performance of drivers. Our training programmes run for six days a week despite us having a five-day week," said Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla, corporation director general.
