Drivers injured and trapped in vehicles after Dubai crashes

Dubai: Two people were severely injured in two separate crashes yesterday after both drivers got trapped in their vehicles.

The first incident occurred at around 2.45am when a truck driver allegedly fell asleep on the wheels and hit a water tanker.

He was trapped in the vehicle with severe injuries. The other collision took place in the afternoon when an Arab woman hit a car in front of her causing a three-vehicle pile up. She sustained severe injures and was trapped in her vehicle.

Speeding was reportedly the cause of the crash.
