Details of expat winners in Dubai in latest e-draw series announced
Abu Dhabi: A driver and a security guard, both hailing from Bangladesh, have become the latest winners of Abu Dhabi raffle Big Ticket’s weekly e-draw, each receiving Dh250,000 cash prize.
“This week, MD Mozammal Hoque Bhuiyan Akterar Zaman Bhuiyan and Alamgir Hafezur Rahman emerged as the latest lucky winners, claiming the remarkable prize,” the organisers announced on Monday.
A 47-year-old driver from Bangladesh, who has been living in Dubai for the past 13 years, Bhuiyan is celebrating his Big Ticket win. He first heard about Big Ticket seven years ago and has been purchasing tickets every month with a group of 20 friends ever since.
“I’m truly at a loss for words—this moment is beyond happiness,” he said after the win.
“I haven’t decided how I’ll use my winnings just yet, but one thing is certain: I will be sharing this prize with my friends, just as we have always played together. This win has only strengthened my belief in Big Ticket, and I will definitely continue buying more entries. To those still waiting for their turn, my advice is simple—keep going, your moment will come!”
Pay off debts, support family
A 42-year-old security guard from Bangladesh, who has called Dubai home for the past 15 years, Rahman has just won his first-ever Big Ticket prize. Introduced to Big Ticket by his colleagues, he has been purchasing tickets as part of a group of 10 for some time now.
“When I received the winning call, I was overwhelmed with joy,” he said. “The cash prize will be divided among our group, and it will make a huge difference in our lives. Some of us will use it to pay off debts back home, while others will send it to support our families. Winning has given us even more hope, and we are determined to continue trying our luck. Our next dream is to win the grand prize,” he added.
Staggering grand prize
This February, one lucky ticket holder will walk away with a staggering Dh20 million grand prize. There’s also just one weekly e-draw left, which means only two more winners will walk away with Dh250,000 each this month, the organisers said.
