Sharjah: A cyclist died after being run over by a speeding vehicle in Sharjah Industrial Area early on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old Pakistani man was crossing the road when the vehicle hit him, a Sharjah Police official told Gulf News.
The Sharjah Police operation room received a call about the incident at around 6am. Police patrols and paramedics rushed to the scene and moved the body to Al Kuwaiti Hospital’s morgue. The vehicle driver was taken into custody.
