Police probe Sharjah man’s death

Sharjah: An investigation has been launched after a man was found hanging in a vessel in Al Layyah area on Thursday evening, a Sharjah Police official told Gulf News.

The body of the 23-year-old Indian was found by port workers inside a vessel docked at Al Layyah area in Sharjah.

A police patrol, paramedics and a team from CID rushed to the crime scene and found the body hanging with a thick rope. The body was shifted to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy to establish the cause of the death.

The case is being handled by Al Buhairah police and witnesses have been summoned.
