Police launch hunt for thief who stole cash from car

Sharjah: Police are searching for a thief who broke the glass of a car’s window and stole Dh200,000 in Sharjah’s Abu Shagara area, a police official told Gulf News on Wednesday.

The cash was stolen in daylight. The owner of the car carrying a Dubai plate number plate registered a complaint at Al Gharb police station.

Investigators from the Police’s Criminal Investigation Department visited the crime scene and are investigating the incident.

Sharjah Police have appealed to people several times not to leave valuables in their cars or to keep their engines running when they leave their vehicles unattended.
