Man dies on spot after car runs over him in RAK

Ras Al Khaimah: An Emirati man died on the spot after being run over by a speeding car in Ras Al Khaimah on Monday evening, a Ras Al Khaimah Police official said. The accident took place at 6.45pm.

The official said the man, identified as A.E.A., died after a vehicle driven by an Emirati ran over him.

The victim’s head cover fell on the ground while he was crossing the road with his friend. When he bent down to collect his head cover the speeding car ran over him

His body was transferred to a hospital morgue.

The driver has been taken into police custody for interrogation.

The body was handed over to his family and he was buried in Al Hudaibiya cemetery in Al Nakheel area.
