New Zealand expatriate at the centre of a violent love triangle may be reunited with his ladies
Dubai: A New Zealand expatriate at the centre of a violent love triangle may be reunited with his ladies on a post Valentine's Day date - in Dubai Court.
A public prosecution case file, obtained by XPRESS, shows that the date has been set for February 16 for the misdemeanour hearing into the sordid sex crime case.
It fails to specify who is required to turn up on the jurisdiction date, but the expats investigated for sex outside marriage have been New Zealander Toby Carroll, British Danielle Spencer and Brazilian Prascillia Ferreira.
Back in December police were called by New Zealand banker Carroll's apartment and found fiery Ferreira wielding a knife and threatening her estranged boyfriend Carroll, and Spencer after catching them in the act. All three were arrested and spent about six weeks in police custody on suspicion of sex outside of marriage, a crime in the UAE.
They were released last month on bail. A prosecution case file last week showed they face five committal charges - three of consensual sex, a charge of threatening to kill and a charge of consuming alcohol without a licence, the prosecution case shows.
It was unclear as to who out of the three the charges relate to.
