Dubai: Woman charged for public drunkenness, assault on police officers

Dubai: A Gulf woman is facing charges from the Dubai Public Prosecution for assaulting police officers, disturbing the peace, and public intoxication.

The woman (R.H.) had falsely asserted on social media that the legal actions taken against her were unfair.

Investigations revealed she was arrested in a drunken state, causing a disturbance and using offensive language toward officers.

Consequently, her case has been referred to the Criminal Court.

The Public Prosecution stressed that the law is applied equally to all, regardless of nationality or residency, and any breach will lead to legal consequences.
