Ajman Police arrest handbag snatchers

Ajman: Two men were arrested on Monday in connection with the theft of handbags from inside women’s cars near the shopping centre, said an Ajman police official.

Colonel Abdullah Saif Al Matroushi, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Ajman Police, said they formed a security team after receiving a number of complaints from shoppers whose handbags were snatched while they were busy shopping.

Tips from the victims helped police identify the suspects and a trap was set to arrest them, police said.
