Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has issued an administrative closure order against the Egyptian Bakery, citing repeated violations of Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food safety in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its related regulations.

According to ADAFSA, the decision followed multiple high-risk breaches of food safety standards. Despite prior warnings and opportunities to rectify the issues, the establishment failed to implement effective corrective actions, posing a direct risk to public health.

The closure will remain in effect until all violations are resolved and the bakery demonstrates full compliance with the necessary health and safety requirements. ADAFSA reiterated that protecting public health and ensuring consumer safety are top priorities and that strict measures will be taken against any entity that fails to adhere to food safety regulations.

This action forms part of the Authority’s broader inspection campaign aimed at reinforcing the food safety system across the Emirate. ADAFSA continues to monitor food establishments to ensure compliance with the highest safety standards. All facilities, regardless of size or type, are subject to regular inspections conducted by ADAFSA’s team of specialists.

The Authority also urges the public to report any observed violations, including suspected non-compliance or concerns about food quality, by calling the Abu Dhabi Government toll-free number 800555. ADAFSA inspectors will respond promptly to ensure the provision of safe, high-quality food to all residents of the emirate.
