10 absconding maids arrested

Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Saif Al Matroushi, Director of Ajman Investigations and Criminal Department said that the police moved based on a tip off and were able to nab around 10 absconding maids living in an apartment. The police also arrested the head of the gang in Al Ghafa area of Sharjah during a raid at 1.30am.

He said that the gang members helped the maid abscond so that they can work on hourly basis and earn more money. He said that some grocery shops in the area played major role in luring the maids and helped them abscond.
